Water is basic to life. On Earth and beyond. And why astronomers look through the universe. The NASA Cassini spacecraft and the ESA, which orbits around Saturn, has now found evidence to suggest that in an icy moon of the ringed planet, called Enceladus, could have a big salty ocean beneath its crust.






is the third star in which water is detected in the Solar System and, according to scientists who published the finding in the journal 'Nature', this could have implications in the search for extraterrestrial life and in understanding how planetary moons are formed.




Enceladus, discovered by William Herschel in 1789 and the sixth largest moon of Saturn, Cassini had already discovered as before has a jet-propelled on its surface by ejecting water vapor, gas and a few tiny grains of ice from flying hundreds of miles of the moon, whose orbit is known as the E ring of Saturn.
In a previous article in 2008, also in Nature, researchers from the Universities of Potsdam and Leicester and explained that the steam jets are driven faster than the dust, which required the existence of an underground ocean of liquid water. But they had no evidence.
In the current study, the research team has found evidence that ocean thanks to a European instrument has detected sodium salts in the ice grains from the outer ring of Saturn. This ring is formed from material expelled from the moon Enceladus in the case of the ice grains, they evaporate and some escape the gravity of the satellite, forming this curious circular cloud around the planet.

Since the average density of surface materials is only about 3,000 kg/m3, there must be more dense materials in core of our planet. Seismology gives us further evidence of the high density core. During the formation of the planet, about 4,500 million years, gravity caused denser substances to sink toward the center, while lighter materials floated to the cortex, a process called planetary differentiation. Because of this, the Earth's core is composed mostly of iron (80%), together with nickel and several light elements, other chemicals dense as lead and uranium, are either too rare on Earth or prone to chemical combination with lighter elements, and therefore remain on the surface.

probably remember when the Large Hadron Collider CERN, one of the greatest invention of man that seeks to recreate the conditions that existed during the creation of the universe to prove the existence of antimatter and other elementary particles that I will never achieve understanding. In the press there was much talk about it but after a crash that would require months of repair forgot the subject almost entirely.
